Japan is Changing, Accepting and Loving More

Since 2015 when Ariana Miyamoto won the first high level beauty test in Japan as the first hafu (meaning half, used in Japanese to refer to somebody who is biracial), Japan has been more accepting, welcoming and loving diversity.

Seeing her friend's suicide due to bully to hafu in Japan, Ariana started the courageous journey of competing for one of the highest level beauty crown in Japan. Her story revealed the challenge of Japanese society to embrace diversity as more foreigners migrate to this country.

Her story is also encouraging and inspiring as Japan is changing. Spread the word and let's support more like Ariana out of love for Japan.
